TUESDAY EVENINGs - THE OLD POST OFFICE, STIRCHLEY, B30 2JH - 6.00pm - 9.00pm
11th March - 18th March - 25th March - 1st April

This is the perfect course to follow on from ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS, or if you have created some simple sewn pieces and want to be guided through creating a dress or top.

In this 4 evening course you will create a dress or top to your own measurements using one of the following patterns: (click to see)

The New Craft House Everyday dress/top pattern


Tropical Research The Lazy Dress/Top pattern (there is usually time to get 2 versions of this)


Syd tie dress/top pattern

All patterns are aimed at Confident Beginners - details vary slightly during the construction but they are both completely doable as a beginner! Patterns have different options such as sleeve length etc, once you begin the course you will be guided on how to cut the pattern to the style you have selected. 

You will receive the pattern printed on A0 sized paper ready for you to cut out in your first session.

HIGHLIGHTS of the course include:
- Understanding how to read and cut a pattern to your size
- Inserting a sleeve (Everyday = puff / Tropical = on the flat)
- Gathering fabric (all)
- Hems & necklines (Both)

You will receive an email prior to the course with information on what fabric to purchase and how much.

Each day is 6 is hours long and includes use of the sewing machine, all necessary equipment you need and a cup of tea and biscuits. You can bring lunch or pop out!
